Documentarian Sandy Cioffi, two crewmembers, and one Nigerian political activist have been released after three days in a Nigerian jail. This development comes after fourteen legislators signed and sent a letter of appeal for the group’s release to the President of Nigeria, Umaru Yar’adua.

Last Monday, April 14, 2008, over five hundred protesters marched from the University of Washington's Red Square to Bank of America Arena in the biggest pro-China demonstration against the Dalai Lama's five-day Seattle tour. About 20 SCCC students were involved.
The group chanted ''We love Tibet, ''''Stop media distortion, '' ''Stop lying'' and ''We love peace'' as thousands of people filed into Bank of America arena to listen to the Dalai Lama’s speech which named ''the Seed of Compassion''. - View Full Story
